Terms of Service | Refund Policy

The short version

JuSenseSheet collects zero data about you or your documents. Everything runs locally on your machine. No telemetry, no analytics, no phone-home. The only time data ever leaves your machine is if you explicitly configure a third-party AI provider — and even then, it goes directly to that service, not to us.

1. Data We Collect

None

JupiterSense does not collect any personal data, usage data, or document data. There is no account, no login, no email address required. We have no servers that receive information about you or your documents.

2. How Your Documents Are Stored

All invoice PDFs you process with JuSenseSheet are stored exclusively on your local machine in the application data directory. Every document at rest is encrypted using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your machine. No one but you can read your stored documents.

  • Documents are never uploaded to JupiterSense servers
  • Extracted records and exports live only in your local SQLite database
  • Deleting the application removes all stored data

3. BYOK AI Providers

If you choose to configure an AI provider (Anthropic Claude or OpenAI), invoice text will be sent from your machine directly to that provider. JuSenseSheet does not intercept, log, or store this traffic.
  • The AI feature is opt-in and disabled by default
  • You supply your own API key — JupiterSense never sees or stores your key
  • Document text is transmitted directly from your machine to the provider's API endpoint
  • Review Anthropic's and OpenAI's privacy policies before enabling
  • If your invoices contain PII, JuSenseSheet applies an optional PII-redaction pass before transmission

4. Telemetry and Analytics

None

JuSenseSheet contains no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no telemetry, and no tracking pixels. We do not know how many times you have opened the app, how many invoices you have processed, or which features you use.

5. Crash Logs

If JuSenseSheet encounters an unexpected error, a crash log may be written to your local application data folder. These logs are never transmitted anywhere. You can view and delete them from the application Settings page.

6. License Key Validation

Pro license keys are validated entirely offline using HMAC cryptography. Activating your key does not require an internet connection and does not contact any JupiterSense server. There is no "phone home" on startup, on document open, or on any other event.

7. Third-Party Integrations

JuSenseSheet can optionally connect to services you configure:

  • QuickBooks (QBO CSV) — exports are files you import yourself; no direct connection to QuickBooks Online is made
  • Xero / Sage — exports are CSV files you upload yourself; JuSenseSheet makes no direct connection to these services

All integrations are opt-in and explicitly configured by you.

8. Children's Privacy

JuSenseSheet is professional accounting software intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18 — and as noted above, we collect no information from anyone at all.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how the app handles data (for example, adding an optional cloud sync in a future version), we will update this policy and communicate the change prominently in-app and on this website before the change takes effect.
